About us

The vision and strategy
The National Land Resource Centre (NLRC) is a collaborative science centre that operates beyond current institutional boundaries, communicate science without exclusivity of language or form, and provide the evidence and capability from which to enhance and unlock the ’land economy’.
-
The history of NLRC
The NLRC was initially formulated and developed by Landcare Research in July 2012. Its launch is timely, coming when New Zealand’s future depends on having a robust evidence base, environmental intelligence and a collaborative approach from which to use and manage its national resources effectively.
-
Who we are
Landcare Research, as "managing partner", will work with a governance group; support the development of the centre through provision of personnel, website development and hosting; and lead in the promotion of activities generated by and for the centre.
-
Our collaborators
The NLRC is a collaborative partnership among a number of Crown Research Institutes (CRIs) including Landcare Research, AgResearch, Scion, Plant & Food Research, GNS Science and ESR.
-
Opportunities
The National Land Resource Centre welcomes approaches by individuals and organisations to work with the centre and its partner organisations.
