Environmental Standards
Provided by Standards NZ
National Standards (developed by Standards New Zealand) cover a wide range of environmental issues. For example, risk management, land subdivison and use, test and verification methods, energy efficiency, water and air quality, and noise pollution. National Standards are developed by balanced committees of experts, industry, consumer and government representatives on a consensus basis. These Standards can support regulation (overseen by the EPA, Ministry for the Environment, and EECA) and codify both technical and performance requirements.
