International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ)
International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ) is the national authority for the accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories, inspection bodies and radiology services. IANZ promotes the development and maintenance of good practice in testing and inspection and maintain a registration scheme for organisations that comply with that practice. To operate as an accreditation authority, IANZ complies with ISO/IEC 17011 Conformity Assessment – General Requirements for Accreditation Bodies Accrediting Conformity Assessment Bodies standard. In addition, it meets the requirements of the Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC) and of the European cooperation for Accreditation (EA). Every four years IANZ is evaluated by representatives of APLAC and EA to ensure continuing compliance with the standard and requirements. The most recent evaluations occurred in 2007.
